We're homeowners, and we built Soffit to make caring for our homes simple, rewarding, and actually worth the time.

Between us, we've owned five homes. We know how easy it is for maintenance to slip through the cracks. There's no standard schedule, no central record, and no simple way to keep track of what's been done. Filters go unchanged, seasonal tasks get skipped, and before you know it, years pass between roof inspections. Not because you don't care, but because there's never been a system for it.

We also spent our entire careers in insurance technology, building platforms for the companies that insure homes like ours. And we kept seeing the same problem from the other side: carriers making decisions based on stale inspections and incomplete data, because there was simply no way to get anything better.

The answer was clear. Homeowners needed a simple reason, and a simple tool, to stay on top of maintenance. Carriers needed continuous, verified data instead of a snapshot from three years ago. One solution could fix both.

But we also think bigger than that. We want every home to have a living record: a complete history that travels with the property, not the policy. So that when our kids buy their first homes someday, they won't be guessing about the age of the water heater or whether the roof has ever been serviced. They'll know. Every homeowner will.

That's Soffit.
